Agreement
These Terms govern your use of MultiMuse (the "Service"), provided by BackStagePass Group ("we," "us," or "our"). The Service includes the MultiMuse Discord bot; multimuse.app and hub.multimuse.app; the dashboard and Studio; character profiles, public directory, community listings, connections, and storylines; the MultiMuse Discord Activity; the HTTP API; reporting and moderation features; and related integrations.
Other BackStagePass Group products are governed separately: StageHand, BackDrop.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Content Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use the MultiMuse Discord bot. Minors must have permission from a parent or guardian. You must be at least 18 years old to create a MultiMuse website account, publish profiles or community listings, or browse content marked NSFW (18+). By using an age-gated feature, you represent that you meet its requirement.
Browsing SFW directory content may be available without signing in. Content marked NSFW (18+) is intended only for adults. During the beta, MultiMuse may not provide a per-account mature-content hiding control, so use the content-rating filters and do not access mature content if you are under 18. See our Content Policy for how ratings work.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Deceive, harass, threaten, dox, or violate others' rights;
- Impersonate real people, other users, or staff without clear fiction or parody labels;
- Post untagged mature content or pornographic material on MultiMuse;
- Spam, scrape, or overload the Service, Discord's API, or connected systems;
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, API keys, or systems;
- Resell or sublicense MultiMuse or API access except as allowed by our API Usage Policy;
- Upload malware or disrupt the Service;
- Abuse the report system or moderation tools;
- Violate Discord's Terms of Service, Developer Policy, or Community Guidelines;
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
We may hide content, restrict accounts, or permanently ban violators.
Your Content
"Your Content" includes muses, proxy posts, images, profiles, avatars, banners, quotes, tags, connection graphs, story timelines, community listings, and other material you submit through MultiMuse. You retain ownership. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the Service, including posting through Discord webhooks, synchronizing edits and deletions, providing public profiles and discovery, and performing moderation.
You represent that you have the rights to share Your Content and that it is lawful. Public profiles and listings may be visible to other users according to your visibility and content rating settings. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Content Policy.
Mature content (18+)
MultiMuse is not a porn site. We allow mature roleplay themes on applicable website surfaces when they are honestly tagged with an NSFW (18+) badge on the muse profile or community listing.
- SFW (default) — safe-for-work presentation; default for browsing and untagged listings.
- NSFW (18+) — mature themes appropriate for adult roleplay discovery, not explicit pornography or graphic sexual media.
You must tag mature content accurately. Rating badges and directory filters help visitors identify mature profiles, but the beta does not currently provide a per-account setting that hides all NSFW-tagged content. Full rules are in the Content Policy.
Reporting and moderation
Profiles and listings include a Report action. We review reports and may warn, hide content, require retagging, suspend, or ban accounts. Community roster tools may be available to server owners; platform staff handle global enforcement. Appeals are described in our Content Policy.
MultiMuse Studio and card sync
Website profiles are linked to muses you manage in MultiMuse. If you enable card publicity sync, profile visibility may follow your MultiMuse card public/private setting. You can unpublish individual muses at any time in Studio. Private muses do not appear publicly.
Discord bot and Activities
MultiMuse can post through Discord webhooks when a configured muse trigger is used. Server administrators are responsible for informing members how proxy posting and enabled tracking features work and must have authority to add the bot to their server.
MultiMuse also includes a Discord Activity for viewing published connection clouds. Activities must be launched from channel types supported by Discord. The Activity is primarily a read-only viewer; editing connection graphs requires the website dashboard unless a feature explicitly states otherwise. If you publish a connection cloud or share a viewer link, other users may view that content.
Activity use is also subject to Discord's Embedded App and Activity terms. We do not control Discord's client, availability, supported regions, or channel types.
API and integrations
Use of the MultiMuse HTTP API is also governed by our API Usage Policy. Keep API keys secret and never embed them in public client-side code. Third-party services connected to MultiMuse are governed by their own terms in addition to these Terms.
Payment and premium features
Some features may require a paid subscription. Fees, billing cycles, cancellation, and refunds are handled through the payment platform you choose, such as Stripe, Patreon, or Discord. Third-party processor terms apply to payment data. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled unless stated otherwise at purchase.
Intellectual property
We do not claim ownership of Your Content. We retain rights in the MultiMuse software, branding, and aggregated anonymized usage statistics. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. DISCORD AND OTHER THIRD-PARTY SERVICES ARE OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
Copyright and DMCA
If you believe material on MultiMuse infringes your copyright, notify our designated agent at support@backstagepass.quest with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work;
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing and enough information for us to locate it on the Service;

- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;

We may remove or disable access to material we believe infringes. Counter-notices that meet DMCA requirements may be sent to the same address. Repeat infringers may lose MultiMuse access.
Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
